Summerville, SC — August 8, 2024 — Dorchester Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce its partnership with the Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) by hosting a drop-off location to help stock DCAC’s hygiene closet.
From August 9-16, 2024, community members are encouraged to bring essential hygiene items to the Dorchester Habitat ReStore, located at 101 Greyback Road, Summerville, SC. Donations can be dropped off at the ReStore’s checkout area between 9 AM and 5 PM.
The Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center provides critical services to children and families in crisis, and maintaining a well-stocked hygiene closet is essential to their mission. The center distributes these items to families who may otherwise struggle to access basic hygiene necessities.
Items Needed:
- Full-sized shampoos and conditioners (including products for curly and textured hair)
- Full-sized body wash
- Full-sized adult and children’s toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Full-sized deodorant of all types
- Baby items, including diapers of all sizes and wipes
“We are so proud to support other nonprofits who are all providing such wonderful services in our community,” said Erin Roach, Director of Development at Dorchester Habitat for Humanity. “By helping to stock the hygiene closet, we’re ensuring that families in need have access to essential items that many of us take for granted.”
