Changes at the ReStore!

Now Tuesday through Saturday, our truck will come to your location to pick up your furniture, household items, appliances and building materials.

Unsold yard sale items can be picked up at the end of your yard sale so there’s no need to put them back in your house or drive them to a donation center. All donations are tax deductible, so you can donate to a worthy cause and help your tax return as well!

There’s also a new atmosphere in the Dorchester Habitat for Humanity ReStore. It’s a place where anyone (no membership or qualifications needed) can enjoy shopping in an informal setting while knowing that your purchases help towards building Habitat homes for lower income families right here in Dorchester County. The increased amount of inventory is sure to offer something for everyone!

With all of these wonderful changes comes the need for more volunteers to help with many aspects of store operations. If you want to build up your muscles without joining a gym, you can help our driver load and unload donated items. In the store, you can help stock the shelves, organize our inventory or run the cash register. You can even help from the comforts of your home by volunteering to make phone calls or manage our Craig’s List and Facebook postings.

Come visit us for the first time or come back and enjoy everything that’s new at the Dorchester Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
