Shalette Brown

Dorchester Habitat welcomes its newest Homeowner, Shalette Brown!

Shalette is a hardworking mother of two boys. Joshua age 15 and Ronnell age 12 keep Shalette busy and certainly are clear reminders to Shalette of the importance of having a "Home" where your children can grow into all that God intends for them to be.New Homeowner

To save money for her Habitat Home, Shalette moved in with her sister and her children living in crowded conditions. The sacrifice was worth it as Shalette and her boys will spend this Christmas in their new Habitat Home.
Shalette's strong love of the Lord guided her through the difficulties of qualifying for and working toward a Habitat Home. Shalette always blessed Habitat staff members and volunteers with smiles and hugs at each Habitat function and construction day she attended.

Shalette's deep faith and love for the Lord shined at the Dedication Ceremony held on December 19th. Shalette's Church Family gathered together to cook food, sing hymns of praise, and worship during the Dedication Ceremony.

Habitat Volunteers, including the Fort Dorchester High School Habitat Club and the Boy Scouts, also voiced their love and support of Shalette and her boys on this special day.

Shalette Brown was approved in May to become a homeowner and work has been completed on her new home just in time for her family to move in for Christmas. She works as an Assistant Property Manager.
