1 Corinthians 12:4-7

“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Luke 4:18-19

2008 Apostles Build

Icon of Apostles

We love to focus on church partnerships and step out in faith to do more than we ever dreamed possible. DHH celebrates its partnership with the faith community by encouraging bold building projects with local church sponsors.

Join our Apostles Build 2008 as 12 churches come together to sponsor one house. This is an excellent opportunity for your church to participate in an ecumenical mission project right in your backyard! The total cost of each house is $50,000, and each church will pay $4166 or one twelfth of the cost. Your team will build on site alongside the homeowner and people from other congregations, do devotionals, bring lunches and celebrate at the dedication ceremony.

Call Donna Cartwright at 851-1414 for details.

Jeremiah 22:13-17

“’Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his countrymen work for nothing, not paying them for their labor. He says, I will build myself a great palace with spacious upper rooms. So he makes large windows in it, panels it with cedar and decorates it in red. Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar? Did not your father have food and drink? He did what was right and just, so all went well with him. He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?’ declares the Lord. ‘But your eyes and your heart are set only on dishonest gain, on shedding innocent blood and on oppression and extortion.’” Jeremiah 22:13-17
